A wedding gown is chosen for more than just one day. The bride will remember her wedding day for the rest of her life. Her photographs will be lovingly displayed from generation to generation. The designer label on a wedding gown is like a signature on a work of art. From the initial sketch to the final stitching, each gown is a masterpiece reflecting hours of creativity and skill. This is the designers art – unique and worth the investment.

When you make an appointment at the salon, we assign a professional stylist who is responsible for ensuring that your wedding gown search is fun and educational. Your first session will last at least an hour and you’ll try on 10 to 15 beautiful wedding gowns. During your second visit, you may decide to retry your initial favorites or try several new styles.

Our stylists have been to the runway shows in New York and have all worked with hundreds of brides. Unsurpassed in their sense of style and fashion, they strive to help you understand what silhouette is best for your body shape and what fabrics would fit the location, time and month of your wedding date.

Once you purchase a gown at The Bridal Salon at Stardust, we offer personalized support for your wedding planning. Every bride may select to spend an hour with one of our certified wedding consultants at no cost. During the meeting, you may request assistance in selecting vendors or just asking all the questions on your mind. The time is yours to spend anyway you wish.

How long does it take to get a wedding gown?
We strongly urge brides to have their gowns 3 months before their wedding date. This will ensure that you have four to six weeks for alterations and two months to take your bridal portrait before your wedding. Since the gowns at Stardust are custom made, it takes approximately 4 to 5 months to make the gown depending on the designer. Therefore your wedding gown should be purchased 7 to 8 months prior to your wedding.

What should I bring with me to try on wedding gowns?
At Stardust we have sample bustiers and slips for you to borrow. When trying on wedding gowns, you may be undressing while a female stylist is in the room with you so you might want to consider the type of undergarments worn.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes, an appointment is necessary to ensure that a fitting room and stylist will be available. However, if you happen to stop by, we will try and accommodate your needs.

What if I need a gown in less than 4 months?
We have many designers who will make a gown quickly, however they will most likely charge a rush fee. As an alternative we always have sample gowns that can be purchased immediately.

What is the average price of your wedding gowns?
Ours gowns range in price from $1600 to $10,000, with the average price being between $2,000 - $3,500. All gowns at Stardust are silk or silk blends.

May I bring my friends when I try on the gown?
Trying on wedding gowns can be intimidating, especially if you have opinionated guests. Very often, we find friends focusing on what they like, not what the bride likes. They often disregard your budget, your wedding location and may not even know what your groom prefers. During your initial visit, we suggest that you bring your mom, your sister or a close friend. Let your professional stylist help you select styles that look great on your figure and that fit your sense of style and budget. On your second visit after you have selected a few gowns, then invite one or two friends.

Do you provide alterations at the Bridal Salon at Stardust?
Yes, we have full time seamstresses. You are not required to use our seamstresses, but we are known for the excellent fit and fashionable bustles that are created by our staff. For budgeting purposes, expect to spend between $300 -$400 for your alterations.

Will you provide delivery services to the wedding?
Yes, if your purchased your gown at the Bridal Salon at Stardust, delivery throughout Dallas and to Fort Worth is available for a nominal charge.
